I am definitely not a love expert whatsoever. However, what I work hard to do is follow the 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 idea:
Paul stated to the church of Corinth, "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."
What Paul talks about here is true love. As a husband do I always get it right, absolutely not. As a spouse/significant other saying your sorry is showing love.
When I got married to my wonderful wife on July 30th, 2005. I promised to her and to God that I will always love her, never giving up on her, believing in her and cherishing her. Not on just 2-3 days a year, but EVERYDAY!!! Sure Valentine's day is a specific day to give a gift and to celebrate each other. But today actions should be something you do for the other 364 days a year!!!
